Former cashier at Resorts World Sentosa jailed for theft from casino

SINGAPORE: A 39-year-old former cashier at the Resorts World Sentosa was sentenced to two months imprisonment on Monday when she pleaded guilty to stealing S$10,000 from the casino.
A court heard that Lim Ee Wah pocketed the money on April 6 after her colleague had left it behind at a counting machine.
Lee, who was planning to count the cash from her own cash drawer, took the S$10,000 and hid the notes in her locker during her break.
For her offence, the mother of two could have been jailed for up to seven years and fined. - CNA/vm
